Capacitors: This is the key! Great Tone comes from a variety of things but The Caps are critical. Type, characteristics and value all make up the Tone! Cap values range from .022uf to .1uf. We offer Orange Drops and my favorite Vintage Russian Paper-In-Oil (PIO) caps. Each with their own characteristics that create various Tones. I spend a great deal of time searching all over the world for good quality caps.

Capacitor Types
- Orange Drops: A favorite of many players. These caps give great tone. Better than the standard caps that come with today's guitars.
- PIO Vintage Russian K42Y-2 (The Green Ones): Great tone characteristics. Very warm full woody tone.
- PIO Vintage Russian K40Y-9 (The Silver Ones): Also great characteristics with a fuller tone range and the best sustainability..
Capacitor Values
- .047uf used in many Fender guitars. Just a good over all value for great tone.
- .033uf cap will give you a little brighter high end tone over the .047.
- .022uf one of most popular for LP & others for years. One of the best value for tone.
- .015uf is great for an LP neck tone cap. Very warm tone. Sometimes known as Clapton's "Woman" Tone
- .1uf is a great cap for Strats. Bright & Bold on the Bridge PU and gives a good warm blues on the Neck.
